The Forest of Dean is a district of small towns and scattered villages: Cinderford, Coleford and Lydney at its three corners, and Bream, Parkend, Yorkley, Whitecroft, Ruardean, Drybrook and Newnham in between. People here are used to travelling for healthcare, to Gloucester, to Bristol or across the bridge to Wales, and hearing care has been no different.

We opened in Chepstow in 2022 and in Clevedon in 2023. The Forest of Dean is next. Until it opens, Forest patients are welcome at the Chepstow clinic, 25 to 40 minutes depending where you start, and we run regular home visit rounds through the Forest for hearing tests, fittings and aftercare. About 40 minutes via the A4151 to Littledean and the A48 south through Newnham and Lydney. From Lydney it is 25 minutes and from Coleford around 30.

Do you offer ear wax removal for Forest of Dean patients?

Yes. Microsuction and irrigation by trained clinicians at the Chepstow clinic, up to £65 for both ears with £10 off for returning patients, often within a day or two.

Is the hearing test free?

Yes. The full assessment takes 60 to 90 minutes, is free and has no obligation attached.

Will my aftercare continue when the Forest clinic opens?

Yes. Your records, your hearing aids and your lifetime aftercare all stay with The Hearing Clinic Group, so you can simply switch to whichever clinic is nearer.
